Lost and Found hard earned $$$

Pop just passed me a letter from my previous employer today. He said he has misplaced it for a while. The letter from HR department stated that they have been trying to get a hold of me for quite sometime regarding check no. xxxxx, dated 5/31/2005.
2005 !!! That was what? almost 3 years ago :O
I didn’t want to call them at first, thinking I don’t have time to deal with anything else but my backlogs and upcoming deadlines. I thought that my last paycheck with the company probably had an error on it. I probably owe them some money. I probably be requested to write a check and mail back to them…such a hassle! Then I decided to pick up a phone and dial the number because I don’t want the guy to keep on waiting if he needs anything important from me.
Turned out that it’s about my Vacation time pay out check worth $400! Woohoo! I never received the check, never cashed it so now they’re trying to get a hold of me and making me TAKE THE CHECK. How nice…of them. Thank you for trying to give me the money. Yes, it’s my hard earned vacation pay out money that was lost (without my knowledge) and now found again.
I updated my phone number, confirmed my ssn and address. Greg said my new check should be in the mail within 4 weeks.

noi, i’m afraid this money is going to be gone before I board the plane
well, at least we can count on a free lunch from macsf when I hit BKK! heheh~
1200 dollars for plane ticket is normal price for the time period…
got one expired check as well from university computer lab ..
2 year old check I forgot to cash it…
they told me to mail back the expired one to them and they will send me a new one but I was so busy … so one day, they just send me a new on in the mail …
about $71 .. not much but still ..
that make me survive for a whole week
