Yesterday...I tried Cakelove's Lemon-White Chocolate Cupcakes recipe because I wasn't in a mood for chocolate. I don't know how others did but Cakelove recipe was a big FAIL for me. Nasty Nasty Gooey cake that sticks like superglue. Taste wise, it's just okay. Too much like castella. I was so disappointed because I followed the recipe exactly, cream the butter perfectly, using fresh ingredients but yet...cake came out badly.
Today...I tried another recipe I found online, it's Magnolia's vanilla cupcake. Gosh, how different between the two...like hell and heaven! I was able to recover from yesterday disaster and have the love for cupcakes again. Magnolia's cupcake is so easy to make with simple ingredients and really delicious! I didn't try the butter cream, just the cake...
Next time, when I'm in the mood for chocolate, I'll try Georgetown's cupcake recipe.
I wonder if these bakery shops really giving up their true recipe to the public just like that...

I've got a book Making Cupcake From Scratch by Warren Brown today from local library. I'll try different things and hope it comes out good. I noticed Warren Brown like to use potato starch in his recipe...
