I haven’t been back since 2005 and finally, I got a chance to visit my home in Thailand again. I mainly came here to hang out with my grandma. I took one month off with a promise to my boss that I will work part-time while I’m in Thailand…well, so far I haven’t started doing anything productive yet. I was able to login to company’s VPN with my mom’s DSL connection but I couldn’t work. I don’t feel like working yet…I just started my vacation for gawd sake. I’m sure I will be working at least 5 hours a day during my last two weeks here in Thailand when mom’s back to work. Right now, mom took 11 days off from work so we’ve been hanging out at home everyday. Next week, we’ll planning to go to a beach. We haven’t decided on the location yet.

My flights weren’t bad at all. I’ve got pretty good seats and companions (Those guys who sat next to me on my flights). Both flights were just TOOOOOOO LONNNNNG though. AID - NRT - BKK. I left Dulles Airport around 1PM on Tuesday and I got home a little bit after midnight, Thursday morning Thailand time!

Thursday-Saturday: Hung out with grammy, ate mom’s food, ate noodles and sweets from the market in the village, skyped with Pop

I wanted to take video and pictures of the food market in the village. The market is very cool and quite large (100+ stands - 80% are food related) However, I feel strange busting out my camera and taking pictures and video in my own neighborhood where I used to live. I don’t want to look like a visitor… I feel like I’m being a visitor walking around with camera. I’m…weird

I’m still trying to recover from the Q1 closing madness (work)
I’ve got so much to do before leaving the country, so much to do both personal and business.
I don’t know where to start now…only a few days left before taking off

Blame it on the job! Only 4 months into the new role and I feel like it is a trap I fell into and my life is being sucked away rapidly.
